Trauma-Informed Counselling (Adults 18+)

​​Some people carry painful experiences from the past that still affect how they feel and behave today. One common fear that people who have experienced trauma have is, “Do I need to talk about what happened to me?” You don’t have to talk about anything that you are not comfortable sharing. We will focus on how you’re feeling now and more in control. Our work at Raaiter Wellness is grounded in Trauma-Informed principles, meaning:

  • We go at your pace: you’re never rushed or pressured
  • We keep you feeling safe: we focus on helping you feel grounded and calm before exploring anything difficult
  • You’re in control: you only share what you feel ready to share
  • We build your coping tools together: so you feel more capable of handling hard emotions

We support adults experiencing but not limited to:

  • Ongoing impact of past difficult or overwhelming experiences
  • Difficulty managing strong emotions
  • Feeling constantly on edge, or shutting down when things get hard
  • Shame and Self-Blame
  • Trust and Attachment Challenges.

Please note:

At Raaiter Wellness, we support individuals with only mild to moderate challenges. Where specialised trauma care is necessary, we will refer appropriately to trained professionals to ensure you receive the right level of care.

All sessions at Raaiter Wellness are one-on-one support and the sessions are available via telehealth, from the comfort of your home.
